Here's two examples of me doing it just for further instructional purposes.

More nice vids. You're obviously pulling it a little or you'd have knocked their heads off.

I'm always amazed that it is called the 'Brazilian Kick' as it is very much a karate style kick with a fake front kick to start. The heel pointing at the target is exactly how we teach the basic roundhouse kick. I suppose I assumed that WTF roundhouse was the same.
It's most likely because of how weird it looks without a gi on. Shove a gi on somebody performing it and it instantly looks like a karate round-kick.

Good. It isn't just my imagination. Everyone is like, "Check out this weird kick" and I'm like, "That is a karate kick chambered to fake a front kick." I've been seeing that kick almost my whole life.

Although Kyryllo does as nice of one as I've ever seen.

Excellent tutorial Kyryllo! Very smooth and fluid technique. I'll have to search for your heavy bag video.

I do have one question that echos what Aaron said: Why on earth is this called a "Brazillian" kick??? I was doing this in Shito-ryu 20 years ago. It's called a change-up kick, or like Aaron stated, a fake front to roundhouse. I'm just curious where the brazillian tag came from.

Regardless, it's an excellent technique that will often either surprise your opponent or enable you to slip the kick around the guard.

Great kick Kyryllo actually also good for TKD sparring !!!

It has block defense and good for seting up a middle or a high kick or even a front.
