so that fight science show confirmed that boxers hit the hardest and the muy thai knee is the hardest strike using the leg (although im sure most people probably already knew that) . Very interesting show. Anyone think that modern science could improve martial arts techniques and/or training significantly?

Of course it could. If your average fighter had access to that sort of equipment, they could find out what strikes of theirs are the most damaging and the difference in power slight changes in form produce and lots of other stuff like that.

u'r basing that on 1 representative of a few selected styles they can get? i guess i expected atleaste a lot of ppl to do that.
i would make u a bet that the average heavyweight pro fc karate, mt guy can punch harder than your average light weight boxer.

I didn't really like the show. Too small of a sample size to be considered conclusive evidence. Of course the ripped out TKD guy is going to punch harder than the shrimpy Kung Fu guy, just on physics alone.
