Kyokushin clinch? Muay Thai clinch?

Hi. New Here.

I didn't need to watch any clips to know that Thai boxers are masters at using their elbows and knees. However, when I read up on Kyokushin Karate and watched some clips of Kyokushin fights and Andy Hug HL reels, I also saw that KK fighters are also very good at using their elbows and knees. I've seen many Andy Hug KOs via knee strike. I've seen many Kyokushin KOs by knee strike as well.

1. Which MA has the better elbow/knee techniques, Muay Thai or Kyokushin? Are they both equal? What are your opinions? How would you compare and contrast the two?

2. I am looking to integrate either MT or KK into my already existing standup game consisting of Taekwondo. How beneficial would it be to add KK to TKD and why?

Thanks a lot.

My fave Kyokushin highlight is Daisukey's one of Shokei Matsui's 100 man Kumite.

Look for it, it will make you want to take up Kyokushin instantly, it is THAT good.

Are you saying Muay Thai is not good for full contact fighting and would get owned by boxing? Is that what you're saying?

ROTFL, you don't know anything!

If you really want to look into other arts, Kyokushin will be much closer to TKD, the training will be more similar and your skills will probably transfer more easily.

Muay Thai is a rather different beast.

On the other hand, Kyokushin has no face punching, elbows to the face, and similar.
