here in aus there are many divisions, but generally you will fight your own belt, or close to it.

As far as i know, in europe, most kyokushin guys dont have Kyokushin competitions, but rather knockdown karate (ie, K K K, conspiracy!?!?!) where they use the same set of rules, in some cases all styles can join(kickboxning and muay thai aswell) or just for the different knockdown karate styles.
