Icon4 Floyd Jr. training:

Many of you have seen him move, but don't get to see how he accomplishes it. Well, here you go. Aside from his running of 8-10 miles, and sparring 15-minute rounds with 4 opponents, this is how he works his speed and whatnot.

And here he is putting it all together:

Note the little tricks and shit he does to not get hit, and to control where his opponent is when he throws punches. MMA Stand-up guys pay attention, if you could control the cage/ring like he controls the ring, you'd beat the shit out of people, too.

First time I've seen that especific highlight, nothing better then watching Mayweather land 3 right hands in a row.

He skips in the middle of the second video. I wasn't including the jumprope video because it already has it's own thread.

No shit. His speed just baffles people, well, save for Castillo in their first fight.

That's the one thing I'll give the fight with Judah (I object to it because it shouldn't have happened, let alone for the IBF belt), it was fun to watch someone else's speed make Floyd go WTF!?!?

Can anybody explain that focus mitt workout? Every fighter i've ever seen has actually tried to hit the mitts. But when Floyd does it seems like his uncle is just throwing the mitts at him, and he's just trying to meet them. I'm guessing this is for speed and reflexes? I'm not doubting the training method, cuz obviously it works, but why do they do it different, and why dont most other fighters train like that?

1) Hand-speed.

2) Hand-eye coordination.

3) Defense. You have to watch close for this but look for Floyd's glove to pop to either side of his head very quickly when Roger throws at his cheekbone. He blocks.

4) Slipping. Floyd moves his head albeit just slightly during this exercise as well at-times.

5) Counter-punch speed. That's what the short punches are. It sucks because you can't hear it in these videos, but Floyd pops fast and stiff. Which is how he stops guys from rushing him right in their tracks.
