Fighting to soon after an injury?

Ok i was sparring last night with a couple of guys who tend to go all out and cant control thier power during practice. When i was sparring with the first kid i guess i got rocked and fell down then got back up and continued to spar. I was sparring with the second kid and got rocked again and got back up to continue class. i say i guess because it is hard for me to remember anything leading up to class or much after class. I think perhaps i have a mild concussion and i have a fight scheduled in two weeks, is it too soon for me to fight?

Someone needs to stop them from doing stupid shit like that, let a trainer know. You should ask a doctor about the fight though, I'm not one, but I have a feeling you'd be ok as long as you don't get cracked too hard before then. Like I said I'm not a doc so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Yea, take it easy the next couple days, see a doctor and see what he says. I'd say you'll be okay for 2 weeks from now. Is this the first time you've had your 'bell rang'? Because it can be a weird experience lol, but otherwise you should be okay in a few days.

Send a message via AIM to Stiffy
Dude, after a concussion you need to relax and take it easy for a while. Like everyone before me said, you should see a doctor and get a his or her opinion before you fight.

If you were really out for 2 hours and have blacked out time you need to get to a doctor or you risk having a stroke or a seizure.

YOU SHOULD NOT FIGHT IN 2 WEEKS> You shouldn't even really train with contact for 2 weeks particularly if you were out that long.

If you were a pro in my state you would not pass the physical to be cleared to fight.

Wow if you were out like that, definitely get to a doc.

The NSAC would make you wait at least 45 days, and you would need a brain scan and doctors clearance before you could fight again.

Go see a doctor.

Not remembering any period of time should raise red flags.
