Do i have a broken or bruised rib?
I was sparring today (boxing), and got just the right punch to make me drop to the floor, the odd thing about this is that it hurts on the EXACT opposite side of where i was hit, im not sure if it is broken, it hurts to take deep breaths, and some positions i try to sit/stand in hurt a lot. I'm really just confused because i sparred for 3 more rounds after i got hurt, anyone got any ideas?

Go to a doctor and get an X ray. And it probably hurt less at the time because you had adrenalin flowing through you.

If you have to ask, you rib isn't broken. I've had my ribs bruised several times badly. Then again, I've seen people actually get their ribs broken. From then on, I know that I have never broken a rib. Once there was a big scene. The guy had to be given oxygen and taken off in an ambulence. It was pretty horrific. Like jjcop said before, the guy couldn't breath. This also made him start hyperventalating. Scary stuff.

^^^ This is why you don't ask for medical advice on a fight forum. It is possible to break a rib without it throwing you into a tantrum. A friend of mine had a broken rib for a week before he went to the doctor and found out it was broken.

Like they said above, if you have to ask it probably isn't broken. You still could have something wrong tho. my ribs and my neck are two areas i don't fuck around with, if something doesn't feel right I go to the doctor.

What the hell are you talkiing about? I've seen a few people break ribs and I've never seen anyone get up and walk it off. There have been people who have had rib fractures and been fine, but seriously, that's not the same thing.
I didn't tell the guy not to go to the doctor. I've went two times over bruised ribs. Don't listen to my medical advice? What medical advice? I told the guy a story of something that went down. Only thing is, my story is true. I'm not saying you are lying, I just don't think you really know what you are talking about.

You need to look up the definition of "break" and "fracture"
