sounds interesting.

I just usually work stuff like that in with my skipping. Left knee ups for 30 secs then switch to right knee ups for 30secs while skipping rope. Just alternate sides for the round, warm up my legs before getting on the pads and bags.

As far as boxing or thaiboxing...boxing for sure. There's way more money in the top levels of boxing than in kickboxing. Or just do what you think is more fun and you'll be more likely to stick with it.

Muay Thai doesn't teach as much head movement and foot work as boxing does, but things change when you can get kicked or kneed in the head when you are trying to bob and weave. But there isn't really one better than the other, you have to train with both if you are going to be a good MMA fighter. If you are a straight boxer, you will be picked apart by a good kicker and its good to have the good footwork and head movement from boxing to not only strike well, but to make it harder to get taken down. If you like boxing more, then train in boxing more but you must train in Muay Thai for the kick defense and clinch defense.

And if you aren't wanting to do MMA, I would do Muay Thai just because I like kicking people in the head. But it's what makes you happier

Do whatever you enjoy more.

Personally, I would pick Muay Thai because it gives you more versatility.

With the Thai boxing here, it's Albuquerque, so there's a lot of top level instruction here. I guess it depends where you go. I prefer Muay Thai because it's easy to find a top level kickboxing coach in Albuquerque and it's somewhat common to see pro fighters at my gym, but it's probably easier to go to boxing for most places.

I train both and I love Muay Thai. I can't throw head kicks worth crap but I throw nasty knees and body kicks. Boxing helps when I get in close too.

300 jumping jacks

Pair up with someone and hit pads or heavy bag
Sparring

All in that order from 8pm-10pm

Not sure if that's how every other Muay Thai gym trains
Jesus. I would be to tired to even practice the techniques. Hell I would be completely gassed before I even got 1/10th of the way through that.

I began Muay Thai to learn to throw high kicks. I still have way to go there

Most fights end up in a clinch with arms above the hips.. personally i would prefer MT in this case...

MMA - Boxing because grappling effectively counters many of Muay Thai's weapons. Kicking leaves you open for takedowns and wrestling tie ups are used more in MMA. Again most fights end with a punch to the face.
Time and time again its shown that its the unpredictable fighters that win most stand up wars, perhaps vs wrestlers you have a case. But people often end up in stand up vs stand up encounters.

Dont get me wrong, i appreciate the reasoning for working extensvily on the bodys Best and most Functional weapons. however a lot of things used in boxing wont work in anything other than boxing..
