ive never trained there but i have been there on 2 occasions. both to watch james toney spar during his public sessions. very small gym. you will see many house wives and ordinary ppl there working out. while world class competition does train there it is in no way exclusive to world class competition

The best Muay Thai gym in LA in my opinion is Sityodtong in Pasadena. The training there is unbelievable and you will get to train with amateurs and pros of all levels.

Here is their website:
www.protraininginc.com

This was the gym that Bas Rutten recommended to me (prior to him opening Legends) and I LOVED my time there. The instruction is top notch and you will have a great workout.

They also have the best boxing I have seen. I learned to BOX there.

There is also Legends however I don't know how the MT is but I will be training there soon. Their website is www.legendsmma.com .

Legends is great if you can afford it.

I was actually thinking about spending a few months out there training. Can anyone tell me how the area around the gym is (im from Chicago). Could i find a cheap studio nearby to go to the gym and back? Would i need to buy a car? How stuck up is that area (as in the Hollywood bullshit)
