American Top Team Has Better Boxing Or Muay Thai

Hi everyone i go to American Top Team i take BJJ and i want to start a stand up art my i used to take JJJ and Judo i am so used to grappling my stand up is pathetic i went to my first Muay Thai class the teacher's name is Cristian "King Cobra" Toleque his record is 23-0 PKL International Cruiserweight Champion 2001 USA extreme Challenge Champion and a 3 time Shin Do Kumate Title Belt Champion at my first class there was 13 people Cristian and a Muay Thai Fighter helping out since it was my first class i told cristian and the other person helping that i have no stand up at all it is pathetic so the fighter that was helping Cristian out took me on the side while Cristian had the class doing a punching drill on the heavy bags and he was trying to teach me the correct Muay Thai stance 15 minutes into it i still did not have the stance right and Cristian paired the class up and had us do elbow counter attacks i still did not have the right stance and i did not know what the hell i was doing at the end of the class he had us do all kind of striking drills i did not know how to punch, kick, elbow or knee the right way and he still had me do this i am really confused because usually the teacher of the class will have you keep working on a basic like the stance and how to strike the right way but he just threw me into the class is this the way that Muay Thai is usually taught i have the choice to switch to boxing the boxing coach is Howard Davis Jr. 1976 Olympic Gold Medalist recieved the VAL Baker award for most outstanding boxer during the games record of 36-6-1 14 KO's from what i explained about how the Muay Thai class is should i stick to Muay Thai or should i switch to Boxing i want to have a good stand up game and want to learn it as fast as possible i cannot go to a camp i go to College in Florida and i live right down the street from American Top Team what would you guys do in my situation also what is ATT known for Muay Thai or Boxing please help need advice thanks

I'd stick to the Muay Thai, pay more attention and do my best then add the boxing class to my regime, after I'd got used to basic all round kickboxing, to sharpen up my hands and head movement.

your making me jealous lol..its a win-win situation basically, american top team has so many good fighters and good boxers/kickboxers that im pretty sure the trainers are doing something right..everyone trains differently really but as someone said before do muy thai first then go to a few boxing classes to sharpen up those hands.

Also ,don't get so focused on their records/win/loss ratio,it often does not have any relationship to how good a teacher they may be.Some guys can be great teachers but terrible fighters and vice versa....

Good luck .
