aikido?

after hearing about Morihei Ueshiba, aikido sounds top class.

Has someone ever used it in competition?

I dont think so. I dont think I've ever seen any MMA fight or style-vs-style fight involving an aikidoka using aikido as a base.

I started aikido a couple months back after reading a book called 'angry white pyjamas', which got me interested in it. Only did it for a month or so. Its interesting enough as an art - but i couldn't see it being particularly useful for what i wanted to achieve, considering the time that it would require to become any good at it. So I haven't gone back.
