The worst season striking wise?

I think this season has the worst stand up fighters ever. Even Roy Nelson who supposedly is the veteran there sucks big time. I think if the fighters had a more solid base in boxing this season would be much more enjoyable to watch. Thats my humble opinion anywhay. What do you think?

On this weeks he was a utter tosser..

Its small things that really pisses me off about people, and its just that with him..
First instance is, when asked for a few pointers by brenden, he pretty much just said i cannot train you, and then spent the day with his fellow wrestling bum chum, giving his his wealth of knowledge..
It was probs the way the program was edited, to make him look this way, but still it did come over as pretty shit like..

The second was winning the coaches game...
For once page seemed to accept defeat with a fair modicum of humility..
Sure you could see he was gutted, and pissed about losing, but went around shaking hands..
When up walks a smug twat with his ten bags of sand, rubbing it in page's face "dya want to touch it"..what a utter stain evans was, theres bad losers..But a bad winner is even worse...

True colours shining through............

Fingers vs Palms

After watching the Schaub vs Madsen fight we all have our opinions on what should have been done.

Here's my question: do you think fighters should be penalized for pressing their palms against the cage? From what I saw in the fight, most of the time Schaub did not grip/curl/lock his fingers into the cage, he pressed his palm against it. There were one or two (maybe more?) instances when he did lock his fingers, but with that aside, do you think points should be taken out for pressing the palms against the cage?

Also, should Schaub be blamed for grabbing the cage or should the ref be blamed? Shouldn't the ref have spoken to Schaub before the start of the second round and warned him about it, and then taken out a point if he failed to comply?

TUFers vs. Early UFC fighters - Gas tanks

When the UFC's birthday came around last week I watched a bunch of old matches from UFC 1-4 just for shits and giggles. I realized that these guys, who were completely naive about what it takes to be an MMA fighter, had way better gas tanks than guys on TUF.

Most of the guys on TUF are already competing in small circuit MMA and training at top gyms. How come their cardio is so shitty? the early UFC guys basically just walked out of their McDojos with no idea what they were getting into and in many cases put on total wars.

What's up with that?

I'm feelin' Cane on this one. While both'll look sharp, I see Cane hunting down Lil' Nog and landing some solid combinations, leg kicks in particular. Cane via TKO near the end of the 2nd.

I'm also throwing money on Koscheck over Johnson.

Am I a fool in my assumptions?

Any takers?

So there are two fights happening... McSweeney Vs. Mittrione (or kimbo) and Schoonover Vs. Jones.

We already have Roy Nelson, and Shaub as winners. So after next episode two more guys will walk away undefeated.... that's four guys.. so will they all fight on the finale? I thought it was only one contract!

I am sure i'm missing something, if so, enlighten me!

It's all about the money and if Kimbo is going to fight, they would be fools for not advertising it.

Seriously there are some guys in this show that are just retards.

First of all there is Mcsweeny. This guy is the biggest snake ever. First he tells Mitrione that Madsen wants to slap him and then when eventually Mitrione attacks Madsen he tries to seperate them. Wherever there is drama in the house he is always there(Rampage vs Rashad, him and Daril etc)

Then we have Mitrione. This guy is also annoying. He is playing mind games all the time. Doctors said that he has nothing but he keeps complaining about his brain.

I've been on the fence on whether he fights again or not and now after last night i'm leaning more towards he will at least fight one more time on the show...Here is what we know so far....

Spike editing tries to be sneaky.. giving you the impression week after week he might fight and now this week they do a turn around and give you the impression he might fight but then he might be to hurt to fight.. That gives me the impression he probably will..

Secondly we have the video by the pool everyone has seen a thousand times... had schaub been beaten last night i'd have said ok the video means nothing..But him winning his fight that still leaves the video up and open to use as evidence that he fights kimbo in the next round which means' kimbo would come back beat mcsweeny and at least fight once after that.

Then you have kimbo and rampage in a few different instances talking on the show as if its a done deal and he will be fighting mcsweeny especially during a few of the training shots and the one on one camera time clips that they have here and there throughout the show.

You also have the comments from rashad and dana white saying how they were extremely impressed with kimbo. I dont see anything so far on the show that was extremely impressive. Which leads me to believe he has to come back and get one more fight at least that he wins in a really good showing

Then you have the things against him fighting which are.

Obviously they don't want him to come back and lose again and especially on his second fight.

The Houston Alexander rumor that has never been confirmed by anyone at any place or time. So I dont really consider this just yet.

These are just things i've noticed through the season.. Maybe people have other views or anything to add. But i personally think we see him fight next week and at least win one fight.
