KOFighgear Headgear Review with Pics!

Whats up Sherdoggers. I got another KOfighgear review for you guys. I've been using the KO brand since I first started Muay Thai, and have gone back consistently for 2 reasons: !. Price and 2. Quality. They got great customer service too boot aswell. Neil and his crew are a cool bunch of guys to deal with. So if you haven't heard of these guys yet WWW.kofightgear.com is your best bet for quality gear at a good price.

I recently just got my hands on the KOfightgear Headgear and wanted to do a review since I think its is a great piece of equipment. I compete in smokers and I just use the community headgear at my gym, but after breaking out with pimples and getting hit in broken down areas of the headgear I decided to get this puppy.

Its made of soft leather both on the inside and outside. It sticks to the tradtional lace top design and a velcro on/off system to slip your head in. What I really like about this headgear that some other companies don't do is they reinforced the chin and eye areas with even more padding so its a bit harder than the rest of the surrounding area which is pretty damn thick foam padding. The cheek protectors are very padded as well and don't restrict any vision durring sparring sessions. The oversized ears are also reinforced with the harder padding. I used it last night and we went all out, and believe me when I tested the HELL out of these things (you owe me Butcher101 )

The headgear will fit a medium sized and large head. I hate to rag on myself but I have A HUGE head! Think of an asian Tito. Don't believe me? Heres my pic:

Yeah. I was worried about the fit because when they came in the box they looked a bit smooshed, but my worries were quickly disregarded when I actually put it on. It's very comfortable. The vision is great on these. Neil had designed it to be able to see kicks coming and I'm pretty thankful because coming from a Muay Thai background you gotta expect that. Last night a few shoots managed to penetrate my virgin like defenses, and I'm quite confident the headgear will help me keep my face intacted mostly it's so friggin' thick. I can't wait to use it in my smokers!

There are just somethings I though that could improve the product a little bit and that would be a a single strap over the ears to prevent from a thumb from making contact with the ear. Heres what I mean:

I would also like to see a different color on the inside besides white, because with use the white may become discolored unless taken care of. I mean everyone sweats during training. I really can't think of anything else.

The price tag for these is about $50.00 with free shipping which is a great price making it an important investment, lets face it. We're fighters and we take alot of damage, so why damage the most important part of a fighter's body. Your head and face.

This product was compared with FightGear.com's Blue bomber and Windy's headgear(great product)

9/10 HIGHLY reccommended!

Hope this helps at least one person
