I am going backpacking on a 6 mile trip to the Sierra Nevadas for a two days this week with my teen age son. In my mind, I consider these two days rest days.

I asked Rickson once about this once. He told me that he thinks age is just a number in your head. You are how old you think you are.

What you believe can make a huge difference.
What's the secret, Old Guy? Lifting/stretching? Diet/Rest?

I feel good @ 42, but I am not quite the same as I was 20 years ago.

I have to say my ego gets ruffled when Mr. Harris says, "You're in your 40's and you can't keep up with the young guys at your school." (paraphrasing)

The young guys have to try and keep up with me!
