I agree with countering hip movement. This is a difficult subject to explain, so I HIGHLY recommend you go to class from this.

In general, stay mobile as well. My opinion is that a guy will get out sooner or later if he has decent know-how in escaping these positions. Jump to the other side if he hip escapes on you in side control. Use North South. Use Kesa Gatame. Use Reverse Kesa Gatame. Use Knee on Belly. Know your options.
