I'm not certified, and no I don't think it's worth it. It's better just to be a good personal trainer and understand both the merits and pitfalls of crossfit as a catch all training protocol. Crossfit is one tool in the box... but it's the one you bought off an infomercial at 3 in the morning while suffering from bouts of insomnia that claims its the only one you'll ever need for anything ever.

It's good for some things, but I certainly wouldn't contribute monetarily to the crossfit empire.
