I agree with caelitus

Just get started on BJJ now, keep up everything you're doing but the BJJ classes will help give you some structure, some motivation, and some goals outside of just dropping pounds.

I don't do BJJ but I started boxing/kickboxing a few months ago when I was pretty badly out of shape. I thought i would die the first few times i went, but eventually I started to get some cardio and strength back and started noticing my body slimming and strengthening as well. I went from getting hammered in light sparring sessions to holding my own. It gave me something to focus on aside from my fat-ass and my poor fitness. Both of those are still problematic, but training is helping way more than fun-runs ever did. Don't sweat the fact that you're going to go in the first time get tired, get your ass handed to you when you roll, and basically just feel like a tool...everyone is like that the first time.
