Question for people who have fought (not sure were to ask this)

I just fought saturday night, everyone is saying take the week off after a fight.

I am fighting again in 5-6 weeks and I am ancy to get back to training.

My logic is this my last day of hard training before the fight was 6/9/09 (tuesday) I then rested until saturday my fight saturday only lasted a minute, so I feel today (6/16/09-tuesday) is a full week of rest. The only detriment I see is I cut 14 lbs during that week does that matter?

Do I need to take another week off now?

My main goal this week I am fine to rest but I would like to max on the deadlift, clean, military, and pullups as I am going to start to add lifting back into my training, am I ok to get those numbers this week?


*If this is the wrong are I had no idea where to put it I just know a few fighters post in here, and trainers.
