At this point in the video, it is before he is demonstrating the driving forward of the hips to correct that posture. It's like OK the guy has me in spider guard in this bad posture now step one drive the hips forward.

The moving from one side to the other was more to demonstrate the control the bottom guy has by extending one leg and keeping the passer in poor posture.

At this point in the video he is standing on one leg and it is not a position you would pause at, but he is showing it slowly step by step, maybe he should have demonstrated it at full speed as well to clear up any confusion

when you do this pass at full speed, once you clear that first leg, you basically thow the leg to the side and advance to KOB, it works a treat.
