This fight plays out just like when he fought Fedor. Coleman will try desperately for the takedown, and will be punished everytime they break. Go find the Fedor vs Coleman 2 fight. It's out there. Go ahead, I'll wait.....
Coleman didn't even throw a punch until the second round. All that happened in the first is failed shoots, followed by uppercuts. Shogun will do the same, except he'll use knees as well. If Coleman even attempts to stand with Shogun, he'd get outboxed. Hell, half the people on here can outbox Coleman.
If Coleman does score a takedown, it will be ground and pound lead with desperation. There will be little thought behind the punches, just blind swinging to finish the fight as fast as possible, in an attempt to prove the first fight wasn't a fluke (it was) and that he still belongs in the octagon (he doesn't). Shogun will easily be able to isolate an arm and either armbar or triangle Coleman.
I predict Shogun finishes the fight in the first with a TKO if he can unload some knees early on, though I can see Shogun landing a big head kick, or sub in the second if Coleman survives that long.
And yes, that is Shogun and I in my AV. I am a fan, but don't think that is clouding my judgement. This is based on 15 years of MMA experience (both training and watching)

while I would certainly favor Shogun in this fight, your claim that this fight will be like Fedor vs Coleman is wrong. Fedor is much stronger than Shogun and has much better takedown defense-thats why Coleman couldnt take him down. The reason Shogun lost the first time round is because he was lacking some basic judo skills. No one with good judo knowledge would base out with their arm to stop a take down. Want to see how its properly done? Go watch Fedor vs Randleman. Had Fedor defended the slam like Shogun, his forearm would have snapped in two. Face it Shogun lost fair and square.
Maybe I am just annoyed because of all the bullshit we heard before the Forrest fight-and now more of the same (again for the record, i reckon Shogun will win).
