A number of people just cant admit that Pride just might not have been so good talent wise as people thought. The vast majority of the thread on Wanderlei are nothing short of excuse threads where they are blaming everything short of a second shooter on the grassy gnoll for why Wanderlei, Nog, and many others are suddenly doing badly after Pride.
Overall Ive personally been a fan of Wanderlei for many years now so I don't think its a fan base issue. The reason the threads picked up about the same time Wanderlei lost in the GP is because Sherdog's population shot up about that time.

UFC fighters from that era are doing very poorly as well. If Pride was still the number 1 show in town; you can bet a lot of the younger great fighters who are winning in UFC would be in PRIDE rather than UFC.
