Tuf 1 aired Jan 2005.
In 2004, the Fertitta brothers (real UFC owners) wanted to sell UFC because it was just losing money, but Dana White convinced them to hold off on that for just a bit longer.
If TUF never happened, UFC President Dana White probably would've had to go back to teaching Boxercise for a living.
Dana White did have some amateur boxing matches, but he never turned pro.
Still takes guts to get in the ring in any case.
