THAT IS ILLEGAL!!!
You cannot ask or make someone sign a LEGAL document with a term of "LIFE." It's ILLEGAL!! No if ands or buts about it.
If I say, "you can only work at my bank until you die." And you sign the contract, EVEN THOUGH YOU SIGN IT, IF YOU GO TO COURT, EVERY JUDGE WILL RELEASE YOU!
You can't sign a contract that restricts or inhibits you from making money in the future.
What the UFC is doing is ILLEGAL! And any lawyer or judge could tell you that. So, when shit like this happens, why do the fighters take it? Why don't they DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Yeah, Fitch can sue for wrongful dismissal because of this. He can argue the terms were too unfair since he was in such a vulnerable position. Even though the UFC won't take him back since they are such hard nosed people, Fitch can get paid damages in the form of his remaining fights and some.
