Yeap, it's a dual arch but you can also do a modified dual arch which extends below the central portion of the anterior (front teeth) (it goes about half way down the front side of the bottom teeth or all of the way to the gingival/pulpus area (start of the gum line) but you place an air hole/breathing hole in the center of the guard just below the top teeth. I have done this for folks that are wearing upper dentures but still need a guard but don't really have anything to lock their upper jaw in place with i.e. teeth. It is a little different doing the modified but it's used for primarily individuals that enjoy dual but don't want to pay the price or guys that have upper and lower braces. For wrestling it gives the appearance of a dual arch but not the restriction in breathing. You still need an upper tray, lower tray and a bite plane/registration for articulation alignment. Sorry if I'm using words that your not used too but I really don't know how to explain it any different and hopefully I have broken it down enough in laymen's terms. Call me if you have any questions because I know someone on here is just dying to critique something I just said and I'm personally tired of flaming and personal/business attacks on Sherdog.
