I have to say that I wouldn't call those techniques "wizardry." They are very basic and straightforward.

That being said, it was interesting to watch the videos. The sensei seemed to have a much more direct and immediately aggressive style than is typically found in BJJ. His style definitely had more of a Judo feel to it.

It's nice to see some clips from old teachers to understand the history of these techniques a little better.
