Here's what a conversation might look like between Obama and a typical voter.
Obama: "The United States needs change!"
American voter: "I agree. What change?"
Obama: "A new hope for the future!"
American voter: "What? How is hope going to help pay the deficit?"
Obama: "... America is broken and we need to fix it!"
American voter: "Hmm... sign me up!"
The "hope" and "change" mantra is about as sick of a platitude as your going to find in politics... and that's just the tip of the icberg.
If you look at McCain, Obama, Palin, and Biden's flip flops, baffling political language, and outright deception you could make hundreds of threads on it full of individual points where they do this.
The real solution here is that the American voting public needs to be better educated in politics, the function of government, and America's in my opinion fine history so they know what is really at stake and how to really change the system.
