He's a true American hero. Respect that.
He didn't throw fake medals over a wall and trash his countrymen when he returned from the war. There are valid questions about Kerry's actions after the war. Kerry himself trashed his own service, trashed his troops, called them murderers when he came home.
McCain served with dignity and honor. McCain even brought this up in his speech. Let's see you withstand torture for days and days with a broken body, a broken will, thousands of miles away from home, living in squalor, barely surviving with little to no hope of ever being set free.
To compare McCain to Kerry is an insult to John McCain. John McCain has honor and integrity. Kerry is a weasel that turned on his country when he came home from the war. That's why the swiftboats had weight behind them, because of Kerry's own actions when he came home from the war. Kerry turned out to be just another anti-USA war, American hating liberal, who paraded around with Jane Fonda trashing our troops while McCain sat in a cell being tortured. Kerry only has himself to blame. He ran as a vietnam vet, with a checkered past of shitting all over the military.
Memo to the Democratic Party:
1. Stop trashing our military and spitting on them. They deserve your respect. Even if you disagree with McCain, respect his sacrifice. He deserves that much.
2. Stop fielding anti war candidates and extreme radicals like Edwards, Kerry, Obama, Biden
Then MAYBE you will have a chance in the next election.

Excellent post - I'm not a McCain supporter but he's a better man than Kerry by a long shot.
