I read about this
after about the 70 meter mark(i think its 70, i can be wrong), athletes are at top speed,
they can only get slower, and they do, (again its a slow deceleration)
thats why what ben johnson did is so incredible
you would expect the 200 meter time to be lower then the 100 meter time doubled
