I have read SS and I have used a modified template for clients here at my gym. Mind you am talking about guys who can't even deadlift 85 lbs or squat beyond 60 and weigh less than 100 lbs soaking wet.
This is great if you've got an experienced person or coach telling you what to do in order to improve your squat. If you're by yourself and a noob you're inviting injury by squatting three times a week.

When I started box squatting with WSFSB, I was doing it twice a month. This gave my body enough time to recover from the crappy form I had while at the same time allowing me to learn on my own how to squat with proper form.
