Florian was not trying to outpoint Roger. He was trying to get into the best positions possible to force a win. He wanted to finish that fight. It's just a testament to Roger's toughness that Florian could not take it.
Let's get real, Kenny is not likely to KO Roger standing. That's why Kenny was trying to take Roger's back, get into mount, etc. That's where he does his damage. Roger was too slippery and had enough strength and wrestling to always get out of danger, even when Kenny took him his back. In R3 Florian tried to finish Roger with a big elbow because he couldn't keep him down, and it's not like he didn't try.
Give Roger credit he his tough to finish, even if he doesn't fight too well.
