It is a win win really...if he is that good prove it and you will be rewarded for your sucess. Lose and well you are getting paid what you deserve.

Agree 100%. They could even have a stipulation for the amount of ppv's bought before he gets a ppv bonus. Sales no good = no ppv bonus. I don't know why they don't do this kind of thing with more fighters. They could have kept couture and possibly aquired fedor if they were willing to work with fighters in such a way.
