MMA and the UFC

Although I disagree with Danas belief that the UFC is the only game in town that matters... I have to give it up to him for helping to make the UFC the most profitable MMA promotion in the United States... from my point of view we should not bash Dana for his behavior and questionable business moves but congratulate him on being soo successful at it. Dana is a smart business man because he only works to promote the UFC brand and he knows the money comes from the average joe that drinks alcohol, parties and loves to watch a couple of guys beat eachother up. Lets face it MMA fans we are out numbered 100 to 1 by the average UFC fan. The MMA fan knows that there are talented fighters and great fights in other countries and other promotions like Dream, Affliction, Elite XC, M1, World Victory Road etc.,

I think in order to make MMA more known as a world wide sport and not characterized as "Ultimate Fighting" we the MMA fan or fighter need to help educate the average UFC fan about the sport as a world wide sport and not just UFC. So instead of just bashing Dana or the UFC lets give em their props and at the same time educate others about the history of MMA and how it is played out in other countries.
