I've abandoned all my protection software in favour of Kaspersky nowadays, I can't say enough good things about this software, it finds and kills everything bad on the pc...one other thing I use for protection on sites is the NO SCR1PT extension for Firefox, it's absolutely amazing it will stop anything nasty on a website...and if you do accidentally allow something Kaspersky will pick it up from there anyway...

The only downside to NoScr-ipt is when you're shopping online. I have other browsers though, so that's not so much a problem for me.
