Karo like BJ Penn...

Hear me out on this. And guys can we PLEASE have a discussion here and not a middle school flame war. Karo has been my favorite fighter after Penn bcause if the Judo. I love Judo. Karo is a friend of mine.

On with the post.

Look, Karo is like BJ Penn but not as good. What I mean is he has incredible god-given natural talent. No matter how sweaty guys are, he can chuck anyone through the air. Alves is the only guy he wasn't thrown likea rag doll. He has great standup like BJ. After the Diego fight, he improved his boxing and it showed against Burkman, Chonan, and even Alves, where Karo won Round 1. Most people haven't seen him roll, but he's at least Brown if not Black level in sub grappling. He also has strong takedown defense. The guy is well rounded. He even has good cardio. Look at the Burkman fight. Look at the Diego fight. He only gassed in the last couple minutes with Diego and only trained a couple weeks for tat fight. His bad similarity to BJ Penn is that since he's gifted, he has a rep for sleeping in, eating bad, and not training hard. He told me he thougt GSP was a can at the time they fought and he only trained a couple days. Plus, Karo's scrappy guy. And he has an Iron chin, and even though the Alves stoppage WAS justified, Karo WOULD have gotten back up. Matt Serra almost knocked him out too, and look what Karo did.

BJ woke up and realized the only thing you can control in a fight is the shape you're in going into it. Now he's BJ 2.0 and he will be the most dominate LW of ALL time guarantee. If Karo comes to the sme realization and shaves off some excess body fat, and gets his mental edge right, we may see Karo 2.0. Karo said he will stop playing for sade decisions and going for the kill. He was so focused on a title shot, he fought not to lose. He didn't fight to WIN. In all my recent conversations with Karo, he keeps telling me that he is training and focusing like never before. No matter when I call, the man is training. He's training with GSP, yes you heard right, GSP for is next fight against Yoshida at UFC 88.

Everone should check out his book. He talks a lot about people perceiving him as a dick because of the nate Diaz situation and said much was edited out. The wole Jens team was shouting instructions to Manny. Karo was shouting instructions louder than the team (in Armenian) to be heard by Manny. This way, his opponent wouldn't understand the strategy. Nate Diaz said, "Shut the fuck up man, you aren't even on his team, let us coach!." Karo said, "I've been training with
Then Karo admits to being a dick to Nate backstage and fucking with him but said that it was basically 2 hot-headed guys in a tense situation. He also gives Nick Diaz tons of props and says he's one of the best fighters h's ever fought.

If anyone here trains, it's a great way to add Judo, Ground and Pound, Standup, and Unorthodox Hayatstan subs to your game.
