I remember being probably about 7-8 years old and watching blood sport for the first time. I was such a huge ninja freak and wanted nothing more then to be just like frank dux. I watched the ninja turtles every day after school, saw every one of the movies about a thousand times each. Then the early 90s happened and something changed my thinking. One, the very very first UFC came out and even though I didnt have a Jiu Jitsu school to go to, I had a judo instructor who taught for free. But I realized that fighting wasnt what the movies made it out to be. I truly saw how my wrestling and then judo was for fighting. I got a little older and got to thinking, as I was a early teen now, I have read so much about the gracie family and how this entire family had been in these fights with no rules, no weight devisions and no time limits. Not to mention they have even fought against some of japans fighters. By the age of 13, I realized that frank dux was a fake. If Japan had given credit to a family in Brazil, then Frank Dux would have been found in america as well. Why hadnt the Gracie's and Mr. Dux have crossed paths in all these under ground fights? Why were the Gracies so well known, yet the only people who knew of Dux, were just his friends. You dont need to do much research to figure this out.
