But, I find that most people that profess to like him are elitist assholes who like to sit around and rave about esoteric meanings hidden in his work. chucks books are interesting to me in part because alot of the story he writes with his own perception of life (morbid) and then gives you either a) info dumps full of little known facts or b) stories he actually got from fans / people he met.
in 'choke' he actually went to a sex addiction group to research what goes on in there and got alot of material which is why he talks about that in fight club and choke and so on..
