CNBC Summary and Big Announcement Still to be Made Later This Week

Today on CNBC Dana did not make that "Big Announcement" that has been discussed over the past several days. He was on the show to announce that the UFC was coming out with a line of UFC action figures and accessories. While on the show the interviewer asked him to eliminate some of the possible rumors that have been circulating. Dana confirmed that the announcement had nothing to do with Mayweather, a TV deal, going public or WWE. If the action figures were the big announcement the CNBC interviewer would have asked questions about the big announcement. He would have asked questions like, "Why is this such a big deal for the UFC?".

Bottom line there is still an announcement to be made later this week.

For the people that are discrediting the action figure announcement, it is still quite significant. The UFC/MMA supporting demographic has been 18-34, with the action figures they will be tapping into a younger audience. This will help push MMA into the mainstream.

As far as a source is concerned, I watched the segment on CNBC.
