This is simple. Go in and talk to the douchebag manager. Tell him that you are out of school for the summer and have nothing but time and that if he doesn't give you a full refund, you will be suing Planet Fatass in small claims court for breach of contract. There are no lawyers or legalease in small claims court. Explain to him that if you don't get your refund, either he, or one of his employees will end up having to go to court, and they will be paying back your money plus your court expenses.
Even if he gives you a hard time and thinks you're bluffing, filing in small claims court is really easy and you will have a slam dunk case. It would be a good learning experience.
