HDNet Fights Wins 'Best HDTV Show' Contest
The MMA show wallops Jericho in the finals.
By Allison Moore

Washington, D.C. (May 27, 2008) -- HDNet Fights has won TVPredictions.com's first annual elimination tournament to determine the best show in High-Definition.

The show, which features Mixed Martial Arts fights, walloped CBS' Jericho in the tournament final, 65-35. More than 74,000 votes were cast in the HDNet Fights/Jericho battle.

For the past month, TVPredictions.com posted a reader poll here pitting one top HDTV program against another. Then, based on reader votes, each winner moved to the next round until only one show was left standing.

HDNet Fights defeated Law & Order, Friday Night Lights, Moonlight and Dan Rather Reports to reach the tournament final.

HDNet Fights has quickly won a strong following in the high-def audience, particularly with young males. (HDNet Fights airs Friday nights on HDNet.)

Once again, we prove that despite our extreme hate for each other, no one and I mean no one beats us in the polls...when we unite against a common enemy...we pwn...let this be a lesson for us Sherdog.
