I've read that the .40 has recoil more like a .45. And there's no way you can compare the damage of a .40 to a .50 ae. Also, a .357 would have too much penetrating power. You don't want a bullet to go ripping through every wall in your house injuring someone unintentionally. Bigger is not always better. __________________
