Personally I loved Into the Wild for the scenery, soundtrack, cinematography and incredible acting. Then again, I'm a sucker for nature, animals and how one person can change lives just by being interesting and kind.
And if you didn't appreciate that or No Country for Old Men, how about There Will Be Blood? Or The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford? Gone Baby Gone? Eastern Promises?

I haven't seen Eastern promises, all the other ones listed are pretty slow too. Jesse James was decent but entirely too long and lackluster. The original cutting that was shown at the film festival was 4 hours long!!
Oh and Casey Affleck is complete trash. Get his ass outta there!
