Make sure you have the driving direction right. Lots of people I see hook in for a big throw and then when they drive, they dont drive towards the weakest balance area. That could be why you arent getting osoto for example, its a really common mistake, instead of driving to their back corner I see a lot of people drive straight on, into a strong balance area, and often time end up getting counter osoto'd from there.

Getting stuck in tai-otoshi usually comes from not enough hand twisting to break the balance. Really pull their body out over their centre before placing your feet.

After these minor adjustments, if you still are finding it hard to finish, it could be lack of power in the drive. What they say here is always try and fix technique first.
