I'd be more than happy to ban elbows in favor of kneestrikes on the ground but saying that elbows causing little damage is simply asinine. fedor has never one-punch ko'd someone- by that logic, his punches don't do much damage.

Your point is noted and taken. I should say that the fights I thought would go one way went the opposite because of an elbow. And I should have qualified my argument by admitting that elbows while in the guard and while ones opponent is pinned on the ground, do some pretty good damage. Its when i see an elbow thrown by someone standing up, that was clearly not meant to knock someone down or out, and was only meant as a means to cause blood-flow, that I get really pissed. Especially when they are thrown by a certain cocky, gangly, fighter that I cannot stand. I guess thats the point I was making. And you are right...I certainly was talking out of my ass.
