Freud states and science believes that children learn better from a father AND mother. childrens psychology takes gender roles and other learned traits from both the father and mother, and would be incomplete without one or the other.

its been proven that children without fathers(inner city) are more apt to social problems b/c they dont have the "strong" father figure for them. Its talked about as a major problem.
