That sucks big ones. A former D1 champ team with no team at all now. I can't see this lasting.
They tried to pull some shit like this at my HS. They said there wasn't enough for a JV and V Football team, and they only wanted a varsity, which meant all the kids in 9th grade like me would sit on the sidelines instead of playing. Meanwhile they made plans for a girls lacrosse team. We had a JV team, but only through parents donations.
