Right - just saying I think there are better examples. Although he works on paper - humble background, Southerner, Christian - I don't think he relates well to the rural type swing voters that ultimately decide elections. I'd be surprised if he was chosen again. He didn't deliver the state he served as senator (and he was unpopular by the end of his only senate term there) and he didn't deliver the state he was born in either. People don't empathize with him although demographically, he's a good fit
