Edwards was the VP candidate in 2004 and his accent didn't help much then.

I get your point and youre right but I dont think this election is comparable to 2004 because where Obama lacks is from Democrats that either have a problem with hiss race or more importantly dont know him or havent researched his policies. If anything Edwards helps because, he is a recognized Southern White male. Although not typically a very strong one.
