You came on here and had to spout how everything doesn't work except for MT and kickboxing. Grow up, little boy.

You might want to put your big girl panties on before you visit the Sherdog forums Nancy, you seem to have gotten some sand in your vagina.
I am nearly 40, and a Senior Non Commissioned Officer of Infantry. I have over 25 years of martial arts experience during which I have studied martial arts under men considered to be masters in places like Korea, Thailand, and Japan.
I don’t claim to be an expert but I have proven to my own satisfaction, by punching and kicking unwilling and fully resisting opponents, that some shit works most of the time, some shit almost never works, and some shit works some of the time if you spend a lot of time training it.
If you want to believe that Five Point Exploding Drunken Monkey Shit Kwon Fu is deadly and effective, you are welcome to believe that but my experience indicates otherwise. I am willing to consider evidence to the contrary but I haven’t seen it so far.
Your profile indicates that you are TKD man. TKD is a great sport, fun, dynamic and fantastic exercise. I have gotten better workouts doing TKD than I have doing almost any other martial art. My kicking is better for having studied TKD. It’s also deeply flawed when it comes to adapting it to actual fighting.
Actual fighting is my interest. That is my prerogative. I gives less than a goddamn about wearing costumes, role-playing and pseudo-mystical bullshit. I don’t follow Confucianism or Shinto or believe in bowing to foreign flags just so I can practice punching and kicking. I do not venerate "ancient masters" in so called fighting arts that never fought and haven’t trained fighters. They may be decent, honorable men and I do not disrespect them, but it just ain't the same thing.
The “martial” in martial arts means fighting. Martial arts that don’t work for fighting are ancient relics useful only for studying history and anthropology and playing historical reenactment games. If thats what you are into, have at it.
Hugs and kisses,
Ninja
