The first 75 pages of this thread was great, took me about 3 days at work to read all of this lol. I don't have much, but here are my contributions:
Personal Trainer: Best job ever because I really enjoyed doing what I did. I was a trainer at Gold's Gym for a couple years, and there were a few trainers that didn't know shit. When you hire a trainer, remember you are paying for their services. The trainer's first priority is your safety, then your fitness goals. A lot of trainers can bullshit their way through a session. After a workout with your trainer, ask yourself, "Could I have done that by myself?" I prided myself on giving my clients the most challenging (yet do-able) sessions which included everything from weights to calisthenics to running suicides to farmers walks to hitting focus mitts. I'd see many of my fellow trainers though where their clients wouldn't break a damn sweat. Also, you shouldn't be warming up on your time (the hour you paid for). If the trainer has you warming up during your session then he's wasting your time (your money). Trust me, you can walk on the treadmill on your own
GNC: I worked here part time while training. We made commission off some products and some we didn't. I sold a lot of Muscletech even though I think a lot of their supps are garbage. The only shit worth taking is the Hydroxycut Hardcore and the Nano Vapor. Cell-tech is garbage and Nitro-tech is the same quality as Optimum Nutrition and other brands. But they paid me the most so I pushed these products the most lol. When you're built, a trainer with a few certifications, and can talk, you can sell anything in GNC. The truth is, buy online. Much, much cheaper. Also, when you return your supplements, I take them home. We're supposed to throw them out anyways, but I'm not letting protein go to waste when it can go to my body lol. PS, this job sucked and I hate lying to people. Atleast I believed in my training (made it easier to sell). It's tough to sell products you don't believe in.
Marketing Agent for DHL: This is my current job, and the benefits are I get commission and my hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, can't beat that. What I do is Sherdog all day, random shit all day, write out my training for the day, etc lol. What I'm supposed to be doing is calling DHL customers and try to upsell our services. We only call small to mid sized businesses. If you're rude, trust me, I will recycle your record and YOU WILL BE CALLED AGAIN. When you're a dick to me, it has no effect on me, I sit at a desk all day and websurf, you're wasting your own energy. Also, I have all your company's info in front of my face, now you wouldn't want that shit to leak out would you?
