BJJ'ers are kinda notorious for that, but you can get anyone to stand up. The one I like to do is rough but it works. If they are hunched over, take your standard sleeve and lapel grip and take back steps snapping downward with each one. Do these hard and severe, really jolt them, 3 or 4 times in quick succession snapping downwards hard. Now, some players will go down onto their front from the strain, happy days if they do, a penalty in judo and back control in BJJ. For those that dont, the general reaction is to try and force their body upwards when you are doing this, so as soon as you feel the upward resistance, snap your arms high and upwards instead of down as you snap back and have will have them bolt upright infront of you and wide open for a throw. Do this a few times and Ill guarantee you they will start to stand up, the strain on their legs, lower back and back of the neck from resisting this is brutal.
